Huh? You mean if he was a Frenchman and he was making films critical of France he wouldn't be successful? He wouldn't be but in America there are so many people who hate their own country that he can get away with making films which are deliberately full of lies. He's a fucking traitor just like Fonda.

I meant if he was from another country making movies about America I don't think it would have the same impact and I don't think he'd be allowed to get away with that.

You mean if he was some foreigner over here making anti-American propaganda films? Well, for now someone wouldn't be able to get away with it but it'll be coming. People here will put up with all kinds of shit.

Well I mean even if someone living outside of the US was to make a movie about the US like Michael Moore makes I don't think they would be able to get away with it.

But why would anyone living overseas that made an anti-American film not be able to get away with it? Hell they do it all the time. That's the "in" thing nowadays you know. Bash the country that saved your sorry asses in two world wars which you started.

That's kind of what I meant. If someone overseas made a movie bashing the US, I don't think people in the US would put up with it so the only way to bash the US and get away with it is to be American and do it. Hence Michael Moore and the rest of them.

LOL ok. I was just watching Bowling for Columbine and I wonder if the statistics for people that died of gun shots in the US compared to all the other countries is true? It seems to be a Huge difference.

He likes to play with stats. He'll probably talk about "gunshot victims" but not tell people the overwhelming majority killed are criminals killing other criminals which is a good thing...criminals killing theirselves off...but I bet he didn't mention in that movie (which I haven't seen and will not see) that almost two million law-abiding citizens in this country use guns to save their own lives and family members from criminals every year. I would also bet he didn't say that Britian, Australia and Canada along with about a dozen other countries have a much more violent crime per capita than America does and that's despite the fact those countries have banned citizens from owning guns. The guy is a propagandist pure and simple...pathetic really that so many simple minded people would make him a millionare by watching the garbage he puts out (of course that's excluding you 4ever for watching the film you mentioned lol).

lol I was looking for a movie to watch on TV and it just happened to be on. He mentioned the crime/gun rate which was much higher than any other country. It seemed like it was way to high to be true. China/Japan/Australia was extremely low. I think it was just over 100. Canada's I think was about 400-600 and then the US was like in the ten thousand range. To me that seems like a high rate and it can't be true.
I live in Canada so I'm not sure if those statistics are true for the US but the rates for Canada seem reasonable. I live right beside Toronto and there are hardly any murders/crimes in my town. Maybe 1 murder every 10-15 years and rarely do I hear about petty crimes. I know Toronto and other major cities in Canada have a fairly high crime rate but there don't seem to be to many murders. In the movie Michael Moore mentions the percentage each year but I can't remember what it was.
He does make some good points in the movie but like 90% of the movie is just targeting America as a violent country.
I did laugh when Michael Moore asked people on the street why they thought there was alot of crime in the US and this one guy answered by saying that no other country is exposed to what they are exposed to. Like movies and video games. When that guy said that I laughed and thought he was a complete dumbass. Hell even the movie rating system in the US is alot higher and more strict than in Canada. Movies that are rated R in the US are only 14A (AA) in Canada.
