I'm quite surprised that Kristy, HS, or Dwish didn';t mention KISS.

It's because KISS isn't metal. They're classic rock, bro.
Deathwish's list kind of strayed out of the metal proportions when he mentioned Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Guns N' Roses, and AC/DC.

Kiss and AC/DC aren't metal bands?? I have to disagree there. Maybe the latter could be descibed as a classic hard rock band very hard (lol)but Kiss has to be heavy metal.

I disagree. For their time in the 70's they were pretty heavy.... and in the 80's, they were definitely heavy metal, s well as the 90's. So they have always been some form of heavy metal.

Kiss is the least Heavy metal/ metal band out there. So you consider a metal band to do a song like Do you love me?, and Beth. I didn't put them on my list, because alot of people like to just ram their name and music into the goddamned motherfucking ground.

no I don't.... however, I do consider Unholy, Psycho CIrcus, I Love it Loud, Creatures of the NIght, War Machine, The Oath and I've Had Enough metal..... seriously, if you were around in the 70's and heard things like Almost Human or Love Gun, you wouldn't call it heavy? THey are some of the earliest forms of it. you can't, just can't, tell me that the Psycho Circus album or Creatures of the NIght, or Revenge or Carnival of SOuls weren;'t metal. You just simply can't.

Well I am. Need I remind you that there was a band before them that was heavy back when they where still in New York trying to get the band together. That band is Black Sabbath. You'd know that if you would listen to other bands besides KISS and Motley Crue.

KISS is not Heavy Metal, Slayer is hevy metal. I'm not going to argue like abunch of school children over four dudes in makeup. The more I hear about KISS the more I'm beining to distance myself from them. But all aside, I'm threw arguing like abunch of school girls.

again dude, for their time they were pretty heavy. And like I said, you can NOT call the Creatures of the NIght or Revenge album heavy metal. you just can't. to me, there are too many goddamn acronyms for heavy metal. When it comes dow to it, it's the smae goddamn genre of music: rock. You don't go into a video store looking for a slasher movie, you go in for horror.

I'm not going to jump into this little fight here, but I still wouldn't classify Kiss and AC/DC as "metal."
Metal moved from Black Sabbath, then the whole New York Dolls type of deal, then came bands such as Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, and then soon came the Motley Crue, who spawned 100's of bands in the 80's metal scene, aka "hair metal." Then after hair metal there was grunge. It sucked. Then came...Nu Metal...blah. Korn was pretty good in their early days, but jesus, not too many others impressed me. Now, Nu Metal is dying. Nu Metal is becoming old metal and the New Wave of American Heavy Metal is taking over, and I like it. Bands such as Lamb of God, Mastodon, and Hatebreed will bring metal back.
Rock on.

Man yeah, bro. If there's one thing I hate, it's nu metal.
Except Korn. I often tend to dig their songs.
