Il terzo occhio? Never heard of it. But if it's older then I'd be willing to wager it doesn't have any where near the gore the re-make does.

Made in 1966. Probably doesn't, but I think it still would be worth checking out. I had never heard of it either untill the other day when I was watching the documentary on Joe D'Amato that comes on the second disc of Anthropophagus from Shriek Show.

Hell I have that 2-disc set. But a lot of times I just watch the movie and forget about the other disc lol.

Check out the documentary. I actually enjoyed it more than watching Anthropophagus.

It was ok. The problem for me is that it starts out with a bang then gets really boring, and then doesn't pick up till about the last twenty minutes.

The Grim Reaper was just a cut version of Anthropophagus, so bascially Anthropophagus is just a shit movie with a fetus eating scene. lol

I have both versions and it seemed Anthropophagus had more added scenes than just the fetus eating.
You couldn't be more right about that. But I thought what happened in those last twenty minutes was worth waiting for lol.

LOL I loved Anthropophagus. I remember seeing The Grim Reaper and it just seemed more like a slasher flick then the uncut version.

I have to admit this one was one hell of a movie great gore I also never knew it was a remake. The music was good in it. But did the killer want to be caught by the jogger with having sex with her next to a dead body? As for his nanny wasnt she a lot older then the boy? I thought the nanny was very sexy. how she helped kill for him and that scene with the body in the bath tub.
