Limewire is quite fast for me. I might try WinMx again. I could probably find a version that I wouldn't have to pay for.

Torrents are actually pretty fast. You just have to be able to find stuff with seeders. Best thing about them is that you can get full albums or even full discography's from bands fairly easily.
