Bloody Birthday begins in 1970 when three children are born at the pinnacle of a lunar eclipse where the sun blocks Saturn, which is the planet that according to astrological lore, controls human emotions. Ten years later, the three kids, now fully enrolled in school and known around town, start killing off some of the townsfolk and obviously because they're just a bunch of innocent looking little kids, no one suspects them. But when one of their classmates becomes the next one on their list, and his sister is also convinced of their evil disposition, they have to try to convince the adults of the town that these three young killers are the real thing, which won't be easy. I had no choice but to put this in the slasher section; it's more a slasher than a "regular" horror film and a pretty dopey but good film. However, the best killer children film is still Island Of The Damned.

Looks like a movie I might have to check out. But I'll have to disagree with you on the best killer children movie. It's either Children of the Corn or Village of the Damned.

Yeah, Village Of The Damned was very good but Children Of The Corn was pretty lame (well, at least to me) and King probably stole his "idea" from the movie also mentioned above: Island Of The Damned. I think he's probably written several books based on films he's seen.

It's pretty cheap nowadays. Seven to ten bucks on ebay or probably cheaper used on Amazon.

Yeah, I have a copy of every movie I ever did a review on here or elsewhere. But I only have it on DVD; if I had two I'd sell it to ya cheap. BTW, another good killer kid movie is Beware, Chidren At Play. The story's dumb but it has some great kill scenes in it.

Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things is a zombie flick. I thought it was over-rated but the ending was good.

I have CHildren Shouldn't Play with Dead Things on DVD. It was one of the first DVDs I bought. I thought the movie was ok, the opening used to scare me for some reason, but I didn't think it was that special. It's actually directed by the same dude who directed Porky's and Black Christmas.

I have the uncut remastered version on DVD. I think it was the first movie Bob Clark directed or atleast the first horror movie he did but I could be wrong.

Yeah, that's the same DVD I have. I'm pretty sure it was Bob Clark's first horror movie, I think he did Black Chrismas right after it.
