I hate when Romero does that shit. I don't want to see any left-wing crap in horror films!! And even though I tend to be on the conservative side, I don't want to see ant right-wing stuff either. Leave the politics for historical films. i understand your point. i tend to be conservative so dealing with left-wing gets a bit hard to handle. i get tired of dealing with all media sources (left or right) in general pushing their beliefs on me, but thats a whole thread in itself..LOL as for they live i liked the message for a change, that image pushing is a reality and we face it everyday and that we may be controlled whether we realize it or not. not by aliens, but by our own kind. thats what i took from the film.

LOL, you look a lot deeper into films than I do. I just watch and enjoy them without trying to think too hard and certainly not looking for an agenda of some sort. Some horror films tend to be overly metaphoric such as Possession; it was hard to make any sense out of it. And you take Salo. What an absurd irony that a communist would be so high and mighty in making a film condemning fascism when he himself was such a great believer in a political philosophy that was responsible for the murders of at least one hundred million people in less than a century. You see, this is why I don't like politics in films!

I really did like this one, suprised me because I didnt think that a wrestler could act but Roddy Piper was quite good in it!! He should do more.As for the other stuff what I really hate in a movie or TV show is the product placement. It amazes me how people in movies and TV all have the lables out in their cabinets and can hold a Dr.Pepper so everyone can see what they are drinking

I just re-read the first couple sentences of what I posted lastnight and it sounds like I was criticizing you for looking "a lot deeper" into certain movies. I wasn't doing that at all. I just wanted to clear that up lol.

They Live is one of my all time favorite movies. It's hard NOT to like. i recently read a review that someone did and they thought otherwise..LoL..i think they didn't get it. they gave it a 4/10 or something like that. can you believe that? all they liked about it was the fight scene between Nada and Frank? they said the plot was horrible and went on and on. I wished i could send them an email stating that there review sucked...LOL

I just loved the part when rowdy pipper was digging the dirt with his top off and when he was washing his big burly body.
