I personally didn't get off on it...... The Herbert George Wells book was fantastic and I really enjoyed the 50s' movie......... Thought this was shit........ Anyone?

I heard alot of people say the re-make was shitty, so I didn't bother seeing it. I did though, like the original. I thought the effects were amazing considering it was made in the 50's.

I actually enjoyed the remake for the most part, but also agree the 50's version is much better. One thing I liked about the Speilburg version is the inclusion of the "red weed" found in the book and I thought he really nailed the whole "American refugee" experience with some of those wide-angled shots he used.
