My favorite sci-fi film of all time hands down...it's where my nick "Nexus-1" comes from apart from the White Zombie song "More Human than Human" which is about *drumroll*...Bladerunner! Directed by Ridley Scott and Set in Los Angeles November 2019 , the film is based around the character of Deckard (played by Harrison Ford} brought out of retirement to "retire" a small group of replicants that have returned to Earth illegaly. Based on the Philip K. Dick novel: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, this film is a masterpiece in every sense of the word. It started the whole cyberpunk type genre and has been copied numerous times by other films with varying degrees of success. For a short synopsis of the film/book go here: www.filmsite.org/blad.html But there are LOTS of other sites dedicated to this great film. If you have not seen it...run out and get it. But which version do I get you say? Well there are several cuts of the film, some harder to find than others. My personal opinion is that the NR-17 THEATRICAL cut is the best. The directors cut adds a nice dream sequence but also removes the voice over narration found only in the theatrical cut. It might be VERY difficult to rent the theatrical version, most video stores only stock the DC now so you might wanna try Ebay or somewhere else. Like I said it's a masterpiece of sci-fi cinema...check it out.

I totally agree with 99% of what you have said here. Only difference is while it is in my all time top 5 SCFI movies it does not come first..... But as Nexus says above people,if you haven't seen this movie you are doing yourself a great disfavour.... Well he doesn't exactly say that word for word but I believe that is what the man means. And he is right. One of the best films ever released.
