I am a Pisces, but I don't really give much credence to astrology either.
The trouble is, modern astrology is based upon ancient Babylonian astronomy, dating back about 3000-3500 years; as we live in an expanding universe, all of the constellations have now actually passed into the next house, so whatever sign you think you are, you are actually the next one along!

I didnt know hororscopes had anything to do with religion. Well, astrology is a form of divination, which is in fact a feature of most religions throughout history - including ancient Judaism, wherein the priests of old were adepts of Qabbalistic magic, which included divination and communion with higher spirits. The conflict about magic in most world religions - particularly Judaism, Christianity and Islam, generally arises over the source and purpose of the magic. The priests of ancient times (including early Christians) practiced what most people would recognise as magic, but they believed that they were drawing power and guidance from God, whereas - they claim - other magic is drawn from the Devil and is against God's sanction. I'm sure it goes without saying by now (he he) but I do not believe in the Judeo-Christian model of God. However, I do not put much store by astrology for the reasons I gave earlier. I particularly cringe at the newspaper/magazine variety of astrology and horoscopes - you know, the ones that go something like: "And all you Pisceans today may find that if you antagonise people, they might get upset with you..."
