I have never anticipated a remake like this one ever!, actually, i've never been this pumped over any movie ever. My fave rocker/horror dude remaking my fave horror movie of all time, i think i'm in a motherfucking dream and you better not wake me up, lol. I don't know if anyone has seen the posters but here they are:

At first I was pumped for this too but now I'm unsure. Some things Zombie's done wrong was the guy he cast to play Michael and Dr. Loomis. Michael will look like the Hulk, he's going to be so big. 2 other things wrong is he's making Michael without his mask and going into his past which would explain who Michael is and giving him a personality which is just the worst thing to ever do. I also heard Michael will be making his mask while he's locked up which doesn't keep true to the original plus it kind of makes it seem like Michael is this demeted serial killer who's just going on a killing spree which is the complete opposite of what he really is. Plus Zombie's making him talk which should NEVER be done!!!! And I heard that Michael Myers is suppose to masterbate in one scene. Not sure if that's true but if it is that is just stupid. It doesn't seem like he's keeping true to the original and what Michael Myers is suppose to be. In my opinion I don't think Zombie knows much about Michael Myers or the Halloween series. They should have let Kevin Williamson write it since he's a huge Halloween fan. He would have kept the story true to the original. Zombie should just direct it. But I'll still give the movie a chance but I don't think alot of die hard Halloween fans will be pleased. I've already seen alot of displeased fans on the Halloween message boards and the myspace site and I have a feeling it will just be another Resurrection.

Not looking forward to it. The remakes have gotten out of fucking hand, and this only further proves that.

I just have a strong feeling this is going to suck. What Zombie has done to Myers is ridiculously stupid. I'm not looking forward to it at all but I will still give it a chance.

Nowadays men are supposed to speak openly about their feelings and concerns, even brutal serial killers so that's probably want Zombie's doing with the film.

Horror4ever, those are obviously wild rumours that are being said about the movie, i've heard them too and Zombie said in an interview that you will get people trying to make him look bad for doing a remake. None of that shit is true because Zombie is huge fan of the original and he will keep true to the original, you can quote me on that. By the way, has Zombie ever dissapointed us, hell fucking no, he'll tell it like it is and i know that he will kick ass with this movie, just like everything else he has done.

They could just be rumors but I highly doubt that if the reviews are true. And if they are rumors I don't see why Zombie would be retaliating on his myspace page. Don't get me wrong I loved Devil's Rejects and actually liked House of 1000 Corpses alot more than most people do but the reviews for his script have been pretty brutal and I don't think that the mask making thing and the talking thing is a rumor but I'll just have to wait and see. And if it wasn't a rumor and that idea got a bad reaction he might change it. I still think that Zombie is the best person to direct it; just not the right person to write it.
It doesn't seem like Zombie is keeping true to who Myers is. Myers didn't have a personality. Whatever you do you don't go into who Myers is as a human. Myers wasn't even Myers in the Halloween script. He was only referred to as The Shape. Even in the tagline Myers was referred to as HE. But with the rumors being true that would be what he's doing with Myers so I hope that they are just rumors. I hated the scene in the TV version of Halloween when you see Michael younger. It went to much into who he was. If you ever see the deleted scene from Resurrection and hear why Rick Rosenthal deleted it...he is absolutely right and knows EXACTLY what Myers is suppose to be. Sure Resurrection wasn't the best in the series but Rosenthal knows Myers the best out of anyone who directed any of the Halloween movies (not including Carpenter). Here are some quotes from sites that have reviewed his script (which should prove that everything that is surfacing aren't rumors);
"But I firmly believe Zombie completely missed the boat on Myers and is making a big mistake with the story."
"And yes, adult Michael Myers, with the mask, does speak. Ugg... And yes, they try to show Myers' "human" side in the last act. Double Ugg..."
"Laurie Strode isn't introduced until page 69 and the final moments of Myers stalking Haddonfield don't really happen until the last 20/25 pages. And yes, it does feel rushed."
"We meet adult Michael Myers on page 48 and here's another shocker. There's a reason Tyler Mane was cast. Michael Myers is described in the script as being 6'10" and 280lbs. Again, that strikes me as being untrue to the original character. Making him a hulk of a being kind of puts him into the Jason or Leatherface realm, no?"
"As an adult, Michael Myers feels like an amalgam of the Myers we know and Leatherface from the CHAINSAW remakes. He's big and he chases people down. Gone is the sure and steady, calm and unemotional Myers."
"The script really feels like he just wants to make Halloween... but super-badass hardcore and fuckin' extreme, without a thought to the character work that went into the original. The dialog is distractingly bad at times. He does keep Lynda's overuse of the word totally, but then he adds in Annie and Lynda always calling each other "bitch" every time they see each other. "Hey bitches!""
"I wanted this to work, but the script I read is a real disappointment."
"There was even a point, around the time 10 year old Myers is in Loomis' care and chatting it up while coloring paper masks."
"What I really find myself disappointed with is the lack of understanding Zombie is showing on why Michael Myers works."
"In the original film, Myers was bigger than a serial killer or a psychopath. He was evil. Unemotional. Uncaring. He was the boogeyman. Hence the ending line. His character was never even referred to in the script as Michael, but as The Shape."
"Bullies pick on him, his stripper mom's redneck boyfriend (to be played by William Forsythe) calls him a faggot and keeps talking about fucking his mom in front of him and the 10 year old Myers masturbates to Polaroids of various animals he's killed while listening to them die on playback from his trusty tape recorder."

Rumours are what make the world go around bud, i'll wait till the flick comes out because i have faith in RZ. The script for House was done like that on purpose by the way, he was trying to capture the cheesiness of the horror flicks from the 70's and 80's.
Here something from Sheri Moon Zombie on her blog, this has nothing to do with what were talking about, well, it's about Halloween but only the progress of it:

That's true but we can kind of rule most of them out to not be rumors anymore. I still have some hope that the movie will turn out to be good but we can only wait and see. Yeah I know about House and Rejects and why they were written that way....That's the main reason I love both movies.

You know speaking of Halloween, I bought every single one on DVD and I'll tell ya, I'm not that impressed. I thought 2 had a good story but all except H2O lack bloodshed. And Halloween 3 was just awful.

I have to disagree I liked part 3 if you look at it as just a Horror flick and nevermind Myers, I have to say that Tom Atkins is a great actor! Dan Challis he was in this movie a no nonsense big bad billy bad ass that is a man's man if you will.
