The Slayer
I liked this movie the first three or four times I watched it, but upon another viewing, it just didn't hold up like I remembered. Nevertheless, it's still one of the better golden-era slashers to come about.
So much of the film reminded me of 'Humongous' - The setting I would imagine.
There's a few genuinely creepy parts to the film and a number of good kill scenes. The pitchfork and boat paddle scenes come to mind. The paddle scene is uncharacteristicly brutal, as compared to the rest of the film.
I also like the idea of something tanible being released into reality to stalk and maim you - gee, where have I heard that before? I seriously wonder if Craven got any of his ideas from this film.
The deformed killer/monster was done reall well. Creepy.

This is one movie that I have been trying to find. I really enjoyed it, especially the pitchfork scene.
