This is a great low-budget British horror film. Set in an isolated island lighthouse, it follows an escaped serial killer hunting down survivors of a wrecked prison ship. The film is ambitious and never exceeds its capabilities. Instead, it relies largely on atmosphere and old-fashioned suspense techniques to deliver a highly effective flick (and some really nice gore shots). Shooting entirely at night, director Simon Hunter makes full use of shadows and gloom, creating some great nail-biting set pieces. The final hook, however, is Judge Dredd's Chris Adamson. He has no dialogue, yet oozes such menace as head-chopping psycho Leo Rook that he entirely steals the show. I had to put this in the slasher section because of the multiple, bloody killings by one single nutcase. Anyone seen this besides me??

For some reason the image came out looking like shit.....but it's a great movie. I think you'd like it as well as the true horror fans here.
