This is a very rare film to find even on VHS. I suppose it has to be labeled a slasher considering people are murdered "slasher style" by, you guessed it, scarecrows. Five crooks who were involved in a heist from a bank and along with two hostages wind up in a field filled with scarecrows. The scarecrows eventually come to life and off people by cutting them open and stuffing them with straw. There are several titles around nowadays with the word scrarecrows in them but this is definitely the best one. The entire film takes place at night but there are some decent gore effects and the acting is actually quite good. I doubt this thing will be released on "standard" DVD anytime soon so if you can find it on DVD-r, pick one up! Or even a VHS copy somewhere. Just be sure you do not get the censored "R" version!

I really enjoyed this movie and I do have the unrated version. I think I'm going to have to watch this one again soon.

I haven't seen it listed anywhere as an upcoming DVD release. I don't understand why they release such shit on DVD but then don't put out Nightmare In A Damaged Brain or Criminally Insane, although I think the latter should be out late next year.

I coulda sworn Criminally Insane was on DVD already. Criminally Insane is out on DVD. It was released by Retro Shock-O-Rama. Satan's Black Wedding and Criminally Insane 2 are on the same DVD.

Wasn't the second one called CRAZY FAT ETHEL 2 instead of CRIMINALLY INSANE 2?

Yep, just like the first one. They were both originally called Crazy Fat Ethel.
