Terry O'Quinn made a perfect psycho, someone who looked like they were about to cross the red line every time their idea of perfection was threatened. And did.
Part two floated along in a dinghy of bland courtesy of Jeff "wake me up when the scene's over" Burr. Terry holds it all together while Meg Foster's eyes cause screen-burn on the TV.
Part three? With Terry, t'was doomed from the start. If I can disconnect myself from that (new guy can't even whistle the song right), it's an okay staple-diet of slasher goings-ons.
Thoughts.

Whilest I've only seen the first two, I must admit they are favs. Part One has everything, from a great main-character, played by an underappreciated actor (The O'Quinn himself...I mean he practically held the first season of Lost together for me week after week), good support (Hack and Schoelen make a good mother-daughter combo), a great deal of suspense, a 6x4 beating, and a slasherhappy finale. Also who can forget the "what's my name again?" scene...OUCH. Part Two, while not reaching for the stars of the first film, has more the smae kinda fun, this time with the superb Meg Foster (you just have to see her with a crossbow in The Osterman Weekend to appreciate anyhting she's in...even Masters Of The Universe) as the wifey to be, more fun kills, and a great wedding day slap-happy bust-up bloody finale! I'm gonna get hunting for Part 3 someday, but these two are one of my favourite double-bills!
